Ephraim E. Brown of Zephyrhills
Ephraim E. Brown of Zephyrhills.  Ephraim E. Brown was born on March 10, 1844 in Otto, New York.  In December of 1861 at the age of 17 Ephraim enlisted with the 64th NYSV, against his mother's wishes but with his dad's permission.  After the war Ephraim located to Florida where he had property in Zephyrhills.  Ephraim was an active member of the Zephyrhills Grand Army of the Republic (G.A.R.) Encampment in Zephyrhills.  Ephraim died on December 14, 1934, at the age of 90, and was buried in the Englishville Cemetery in Michigan where he had carved his own headstone years prior.
